It need not be installed when the system is used solely for general broadcasting purpose. It has facilities to manually start and reset emergency broadcasts. Emergency announcements are recorded in English (default settings), which can be changed by USB data transfer operations from rear panel.

When the DC power supply from the VX-200PS stops, the VX-2000DS is automatically switched to the backup battery.
